She Recruits is partnering with a community-based acute care hospital along the Texas Gulf Coast to recruit a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalist (IM or FM).

This is a smaller-volume hospital offering strong shift compensation, structured APP support, and manageable patient census.

Compensation

$2,000 per 12-hour shift (7a–7p)
Physician takes night call coverage (APP onsite overnight)

1099 structure

Schedule Structure

• 12-hour day shift: 7a–7p (onsite)
• Night coverage: 7p–7a (APP onsite; physician telephonic accessibility required)
• No residents

Physician remains responsible for oversight during call coverage.

• 30 Med-Surg beds
• 12 Observation beds
• 6-bed Women’s Center
• 14 ED beds
• ~16,000 annual hospital encounters (~45 visits/day hospital-wide)
• ~7,000 hospitalist encounters (~19 visits/day hospitalist service)
• 6% ED admission rate
• 5% transfer rate
• Open ICU with tele-intensivist support
• 24/7 Teleneurology (ED stroke support only)

Clinical Environment

• APP onsite for day and night coverage
• No procedures required
• General Surgery supports basic endoscopy/colonoscopy
• No Infectious Disease, Oncology, Hematology, or Gastroenterology onsite
• Must remain onsite during day shift

This is a smaller, collaborative hospital environment requiring confident, independent clinical judgment.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Hospitalist experience preferred
• ACLS & BLS required
• Texas license or eligibility
