Position Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the creation of AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems, support technical proposals, influence product roadmaps, and collaborate across engineering, sales, manufacturing, and compliance teams. You will play a central role in ensuring product performance, manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AC/DC and DC/DC switch-mode power supplies (medium and low voltage).

  • Support Sales by reviewing and developing technical proposals with limited reference designs.

  • Select and specify components for performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.

  • Lead efforts to standardize designs and improve productivity, reliability, and cost efficiency.

  • Ensure product compliance with internal requirements, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.

  • Integrate new technologies into hardware designs and contribute to product roadmap strategy.

  • Modify, troubleshoot, and optimize existing designs and circuit topologies.

  • Translate customer requirements into robust engineering solutions.

  • Coordinate with PCB layout, mechanical design, documentation, safety approvals, and manufacturing teams.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Prepare technical documentation such as test procedures, design descriptions, and engineering reports.

  • Mentor and guide engineers; communicate effectively with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Strong expertise in schematic design, PCB development, troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Hands-on design and troubleshooting experience with AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, inverters, UPS systems, and distribution systems down to component level.

  • Knowledge of EMI/RFI attenuation, EMC compliance, and MIL-standard design practices.

  • Skilled in developing and validating circuit topologies with a focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

  • Experience designing for environmental and thermal conditions (temperature, humidity, shock, vibration).

  • Proficiency with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, thermal chambers, etc.

  • Experience writing detailed test procedures and creating test fixtures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD/simulation tools (Altium, PCAD, etc.).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork capabilities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or Physical Sciences (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in power electronics design.

  • 3–5+ years of experience with PCB layout tools, simulation tools, and applicable industry standards.

  • Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environments.

  • Familiarity with MIL-Standards for ground, afloat, and airborne applications.

  • UPS design experience is required.
